Who we Are And why You Should Train Here
Since we’ve opened, we’ve been dedicated to changing the lives of people one person at a time, through martial arts, education and coaching. We strive to provide a safe, comfortable and welcoming atmosphere for all students and family members. We take pride in creating an environment for individuals to achieve, develop and succeed in their personal goals.
We strongly believe that martial arts can be for everyone, regardless of age, gender or experience levels. Throughout all of our programs, students will not only learn the necessary skill sets to protect themselves, we stand behind our realistic and practical approach, confident it will enable every member to achieve greatness and live their best life..

Mr. Matt Griffey
Mr. Griffey is one of our owners and the Head Instructor here at Kicks Unlimited Stoughton. He is a dad of 3 amazing children, and has a passion for creating an atmosphere where all students can feel welcomed and grow in a space that allows every student to become the best versions of themselves!
Coach Gwen
Coach Gwen aka Mrs. Griffey is the driving force of our afterschool and summer camp programs! Coach Gwen always wanted to be a social worker for foster children growing up, and while life happened and took her in different directions…being able to channel that same energy and love of children into our afterschool and summer camp programs has given her back a passion for life and drive that had been missing!
Coach Jipze
Coach Jipze is a face you may have seen at any number of places in Stoughton! She is a leader with Kegonsa Working for Kids, a coach with Stoughton Tumblers, very active with the boy scout troops, a substitute teacher for 4K and Kegonsa, and we are very proud to say, a tumbling coach here for Stoughton’s Best After school and summer camp! She manages to find time every week to connect with our students and is a valuable asset to this team!
Mr. Sheets
Mr. Sheets has been doing martial arts with Kicks Unlimited for over 10 years! Quite the accomplishment seeing he is still a teenager! Mr. Sheets has a love of competition and you will frequently find him at not just Kicks tournaments, but tournaments all over the place! He especially enjoys traditional forms and his favorite weapon to compete with is the bo staff.
Mr. Stassi, Mr. Davie and Mr. Moyer
Our newest lead instructors here at Kicks Unlimited Stoughton. All of these wonderful young men have been a great asset to this team. When they aren’t here you might find them with Stoughton High School music department with either band or orchestra! These guys are all involved with the local music scene and great examples of leaders and community members!
Coach Peyton
Coach Peyton is our dance coach with Stoughton’s Best. She has over 11 years of experience and is familiar with many styles and types of dances including poms, hip hop, jazz, tap and many more! She has an outgoing and upbeat personality that rivals Mr. Griffey’s, and the kids always love when she walks through the door!
Mrs. Teche
Mrs. Teche has been a lead instructor with us for a few years! For her “real job” she is a teacher full time in Madison area, and brings a optimistic and calming presence to our team! Its nice to have a strong female role model on the karate floor and she lives up to that title! She gives every student attention that leaves them all feeling special.
Coach Brock
Coach Brock comes to us from Colorado, though he is originally from Nebraska. He was a collegiate athlete in track and field. Through college he found a passion for coaching – especially youth! Spring of 2023 had him exploring different career options in either Wisconsin or Ohio, and we are glad to say he picked us and joined our team and mission of changing kids lives by providing the best afterschool and summer camp experience!
